Allerdings tue ich mich mit den Namen schwer, da es wenig entsprechende "Klischee-Bezeichnungen" á la Zwerg, Alb oder Ork gibt. Daher sind alle Bezeichnungen mit dem Aufkleber "Arbeitstitel" versehen <img src="http://aeyansmottir.gomeck.de/serendipity/templates/default/img/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";-)" style="display: inline; vertical-align: bottom;" class="emoticon" /><br /><br /><u>Seegnome, Zwergnixen</u><br /><br />Sie leben auf dem offenen Meer an der Wasseroberfläche, außerhalb des Verbreitungsgebietes des Kreýpn-Tak, wo sie schwimmende Städte errichtet haben. Diese sind nur zu einem geringen Teil über der Wasseroberfläche, der größte Teil der Siedlungen ragt unterhalb der schwimmenden Plattformen bis zu 30m in die Tiefe.<br />Seegnome werden ca. 120cm groß, ihre Haare an kopf und Rücken sind schwarz und lang, der restliche Körper ist größtenteils ebenfalls behaart, allerdings recht kurz und in einem dunklen Rot. Unbehaart sind die Extremitäten ab den Knie- und Ellbogengelenken und das Gesicht. Die Haut selbst ist tief blau und glänzt metallisch.<br />Kleidung tragen Seegnome nicht, ein Schamgefühl ist ihnen unbekannt.<br /><br />Seegnome können bis zu 90 Minuten ohne Sauerstoff auskommen. Ihre Städte sind ebenfalls, wie Nixenstädte, mit Luftröhren von der Oberfläche versorgt, jedoch nach einem anderen Prinzip wie das der Nixen (welches ich aber noch näher ausführen muß <img src="http://aeyansmottir.gomeck.de/serendipity/templates/default/img/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";-)" style="display: inline; vertical-align: bottom;" class="emoticon" />).<br /><br />Da die schwimmenden Städte naturgemäß herumtreiben, besteht die Problematik, wie Einwohner einer Siedlung überhaupt den Standort anderer Siedlungen finden! Die Lösung ist ein etwa 40cm großer Fisch, der ähnlich wie eine irdische Brieftaube auf einen Heimatort geprägt werden kann. Wie die Orientierung vonstatten geht und wie der Fisch das sich bewegende Zuhause stets findet, ist bis heute rätselhaft, was die Seegnome jedoch nicht davon abhält, sich diese Eigenschaft zunutze zu machen.<br />Nur mit Hilfe dieser Tiere ist der Handel und Reisen zwischen den Siedlungen möglich, auch wenn die Seegnome recht autark leben. Es gibt in jeder Siedlung ein bis zwei Seegnome, die einen ganz speziellen Beruf ausüben: ihnen obliegt die Betreuung der Fisch-Stallungen, wo eine Vielzahl dieser Fische gehalten werden. Einige davon sind auf die eigene Siedlung geprägt, doch auch von anderen, umliegenden Seegnomen-Städten sind stets einige Fische vorrätig. Die Koordination der Fisch-Bestände und der gegenseitige Austausch ist neben der Pflege und Zucht der Fische die Hauptaufgabe der betreuenden Seegnome. Reist ein Seegnom in eine andere Siedlung, so muß er zunächst in die Fisch-Stallungen, wo er einen Fisch des jeweiligen Dorfes erhält, der ihm den Weg weisen wird. Zusätzlich nimmt er jedoch auch einen Fisch des eigenen Dorfes mit, damit er den Rückweg findet. Die Fische sind aber dennoch begrenzt in ihren Fähigkeiten, ihr Heimatdorf zu finden - ist die Distanz zu groß, merken das die Reisenden schon auf den ersten Metern an den ziellosen Bewegungen der Fische.<br />Glücklicherweise wird die Ortsgebundenheit der Fische auf Nachkommen vererbt, so daß auch Dörfer, die zu weit voneinander entfernt werden, Jahre später mit Hilfe von Nachkommen der ursprünglich geprägten Fische wieder zueinander finden können.<br /><br />Die Hände der Seegnome haben vier Finger, lang und feingliedrig, und mit durchscheinenden Schwimmhäuten versehen; die vorderen Fingerglieder ragen jedoch über die Schwimmhautansätze hinaus. Die Beine jedoch sind bereits im Schritt miteinander verwachsen und enden in einer einzelnen, großen, schillernden Schwanzflosse. Die Beine sind allerdings nicht nahtlos in voller Länge verwachsen, im Oberschenkelbereich sind noch deutlich Einschnitte zu erkennen, ohne daß jedoch eine durchgehende Öffnung entsteht.<br /><br />Trotz der verwachsenen Beine, die eine aufrechte Fortbewegung an Land nicht möglich machen, suchen sie durchaus das Trockene auf, vor allem die Aufzucht ihrer Jungen geschieht über dem Wasser, auf den schwimmenden Plattformen.
